I've never played this series before, and only know about it thanks to Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. Given that it's a third-party game, is this likely to further drop in price in the next 6 months or so? Kind of how Bioshock collection and Ghostbusters quickly dropped to $15.

I got this on PS4. One thing I wasn't prepared for was that the game definitely appeals to fans of the original game (especially with the story). The original game was redone for Switch recently, so folks can take advantage of playing both on Switch. But if you're on another console, and you get confused in the story, you may want to watch a Youtube video of the original's story.

There was a recent recall of this game because some new copies were found with World War Z cart instead of NEO TWEWY.

Think it'll drop for PS4? I'm torn between which to get, but just bought some games and already have a large backlog. Would be nice to score this for under $15 months from now.

I played on a Switch lite and based on my experience I would say get the PS4 version. There were a lot of noticeable frame rate drops in combat. Game was still completely playable but the distraction is a bummer.

Yep! Square seems to print more copies of their games for PlayStation/Xbox (or they have worse sales so more supply, idk). You can look at Dragon Quest XI S as an example of a game that's still getting heavy physical discounts on ps4/Xbox, but now hard to find new on switch. Square said they're disappointed with the sales for NEO TWEWY (literally today), so whatever's already printed is all that's going to be printed. The TWEWY final remix physical edition went through the same thing, where it hit heavy discounts last Black Friday but is getting increasingly difficult to find new. No Black Friday sales on that one, that I've seen this year. It's all speculation on my part, but I see TWEWY as a niche (and awesome) experiment that Square won't revisit for a while, if ever.
