Edit - Not sure why this is being down-voted as this is the best deal for a full year up front and you're not limited to one location as a home gym. It includes nationwide access to every single location. The quoted price really is the advertised price with no taxes, fees, or extra charges like annual fees or initiation fees and the like. It's legitimately $20.22 a month. The only catch is it's due up front.

Solid deal for 24hr fitness considering a year up front typically starts at $400 these days. Remember when Costco offered 3 years for $499.99? Those were the days. But since those days are dead and buried, this will do.

For the record this price is out the door. No additional taxes or fees or other BS. It truly is $20.22 a month. Multiply it by 12 and see for yourself. :p

My membership ran out October 1st and I figured I'd have to wait for a new years resolution deal closer to January, so this worked for me. Hope this helps anyone else in the same position.

i thought 24hour filed for bankruptcy. If so, does it seem safe to anyone to give their money to a company that may not be able (in the future) to provide what the consumer is paying for?

My dad and mom pays only $49 a year for their membership totalling $100 annually. Any idea how they got in on this amazing deal?

I just paid their membership dues for next year and it came out to be $26 per year for each member. There were credits applied to the account for COVID related reasons. Im guessing this deal is no longer ever available to the public anymore?

Does 24 Hr fitness still offer lifetime annual memberships?

those were SUPER DUPER old deals, like 20 years ago, actually prob not that long. The ones 20 years ago had renewal fees LESS than that $49 a year. I had friends paying like $5-20 a year. The deal back then was pay $300-400 or some crap then after that it was the low amount after each YEAR.

They went bankrupt b/c of COVID and screwed all of us who had the memberships through Costco. The reason Costco no longer offers this through 24hr is because Costco was a great company and actually lived up to their reputation and refunded those who got shafted. Which also means Costco took a hit to make things right with their customers.

24hr fitness on the other hand, through their bankruptcy trustee offered everyone who got screwed a (maximum) of $50 gift card to use at 24 hr fitness... after they effectively voided everyones annual membership. Because apparently screw you for being their customer.

They are a crappy company. I doubt they can go bankrupt again... if anything they'd be acquired or bought out by the next fitness chain. When that happens, your membership is still valid.

Choosing a gym is often a factor of location and convenience. In my area its either planet fitness of 24 hour... neither are good options in my opinion. Pick your poison. This isn't a bad deal, but the company is shit.

Costco gave full refunds when it all happened and you got to keep the membership. I got like 800 back.

Yep, I had 24 Hour Fitness membership through Costco. I paid up front for "specified" services (included towel, group classes, wet area, etc.) but then, 24 Hour Fitness starting cutting those services one-by-one. Not cool !!

Yup. Nationwide. At first I assumed it was limited to one home club, but you can jump around.

That was a deal from 20 years ago when you bought three years up front for 1k+. They were grandfathered in.

You got lucky. I only had a few months left so I got a partial, pro-rated refund based on how much time had passed and how much remained.

Strange because I had a two year membership that was ending this year, and they just automatically tacked on 10 more months to make up for when they were closed.
I live in a state that was much more locked down than say Texas or Florida, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Did you call them? I just used the website. Costco has one of the best refund policies so not sure why they would go through the trouble of prorating. Sucks. I just used the site and clicked refund and had zero issues.

It seems like if you buy it today, membership will start today.
I tried to buy one then I looked at the membership agreement on page 3 it showed membership start date is today. With costco prepaid, you could activate later and it would start membership on a later date

I want to buy this and save it for next year but that will not be viable option.
