It's in 4K but not on PC browsers. You gotta play it in apps or cast it straight to the TV.

Somebody already replied to you, but I'll also just add that streaming digital 4k is nowhere near as crisp as 4k physical copies are because of the data compression. For example, steaming a 4k movie uses up to maybe 15GB of data, but a 4K Blu-ray is anywhere in between 40-90GB. That kind of compression is not free, there's quite a bit of loss.

The CGI was rendered at a lower resolution (2K), so it had to be upscaled to 4K. Since so much of these movies is CGI it's a valid complaint, but there's still a noticeable improvement in detail over the 1080p versions.

I'm a little confused, here, so pardon a potentially stupid question. Do these Google Play movies show up in my YouTube movies?

Edit:
Answering my own question, in case anyone else is unfamiliar with this stuff: Yes, Google Play movies show up automatically in YouTube's My Movies list, including these films. All six films are displaying as individual movies (versus being bundled as a Series, ala a TV series). via my browser, the film is stuck in 480p with no option for higher resolution.
