They are great! Just don't drop them. The mechanism that holds the plates in place is plastic.
My son and I (26 & 52) have been using a set of these in our gym for over a year now. Would never go back to plates, except when we are lifting over 52 lbs (have to use the plates for 100 lb presses but we don't do those very often).

They are great but I will say a stand is a must, at least for the 52 yr old! I bought the Nordictrack stand, it's half the price and works (use straps to secure the weight mounts).

I would have to continue using plates for some of my exercises regardless.

Admittedly, not removing/adding plates between exercises would be nice.

Is it worth $300 to save me, at most, 5 minute per session?

I'll think on it during my workout later this morning.

Thanks. Put in an order. For those waffling, remember that these hold value. I bought my first set used for 200, sold them for 225 when I switched to power blocks. Now the used market is even higher. I'm going back to these.

It's a space saver. If you have enough space for a weight rack and all combination of weights, this will not add much value. Also note that you can't drop these from a height of you are struggling etc. They are delicate compared to normal dumbbells. But if you have a small house or no room for 10 pairs of weights, this is awesome.

They are def better than a rack of weights but 52.5lb tops is kind of limited. Also more prone to damage and wear. Still at this price it's a good buy. Shame powerblock exps and 1090s never went on sale...

52.5lb works for what these are: Good entry weights that allow people a decent way to get into strength training without them sacrificing too much money or space in their house.

I snagged a set and have been very happy with them. The adjustment pins were a little finicky at first and then seemed to work themselves out.

I've had these for almost 2yrs and love them! I got them on a slickdeals for $220 so they've defiantly been cheaper, but who knows if they will go back to that price point again.

I ended up using the box it shipped in as a stand. It has heavy styrofoam and has held up well for the past 6 years.
