Tempted, but I prefer a foot pedal one over sensor. One less thing to break…. And foot pedal 100% works?

I had 2 of this. 1 works pretty well and still using the initial battery and the other one the battery went out so much that it was changed 2 times already.

Our "electronic" garbage went bad within 1 year and it then literally becomes garbage itself. Plus batteries went bad every month!

Has anyone gotten this and had it work well. I just got mine and the manual explicitly states not to use rechargeable batteries. Who in their right mind is spending $8-10 a month on C cell batteries to replace them every 2 weeks just for a touchless trash can lid? That's not slick at all.

Less likely I feel as of all the foot pedal ones we've had, foot pedal has never broken. A sensor one has though, so you had to lift lid with hand.

Trash can lid is one of the nastiest things to have to touch, and if you have small kids and dogs in the house having a can with a lid is a must. I had a similar can for 7 years and I'm just shopping for a new one now because the sensor on it broke.
