That seems pretty low for a modern day laptop right? Other deals have battery life of 8-12 hours.

Yes dell one is better also this is old model laptop which dell stopped building built is plastic here and no backlit multiple small changes from dell website thats why you get cheaper price also 4 cores

I looked at the specs for the battery. It's a standard 3 cell 41 WHr battery. The 4 hours is the battery charging time not the battery usage time.
