Pre filter $25
Shoulder strap $10
= Pass
You can use a shop vac with a dust stopper/dust cyclone on a 5 gallon bucket as a poor man's dust extractor until a deal on an extractor pops up someday.

But pre filter comes with it... it's basically a microfiber hoodie that goes over the actual hepa filter. you could easily make your own if you really wanted to, too.
shoulder strap... i got tons of these... if i really needed it id just pull it from any number of my other makita things. just take it off a duffle bag if you hafta. i don't use the strap at all, it is light enough to just hold in my hand.

OSHA requires a minimum of 25 CFM per inch of grinding/sanding/cutting wheel diameter. For example, if you are using a 5" angle grinder to polish concrete, then you need 5 times 25 CFM, or 125 CFM for sufficient dust extraction.
This vacuum only has 27 CFM. It barely moves any air at all. A $50 shop vac at Home Depot is hitting nearly 150 CFM.
