The overwhelming majority of people shopping for a monitor intend to also use it as a computer monitor. An oled TV is a complete non starter for them.

Great deal for this panel; dang!

For those commenting that this is too expensive, this is a curved 38" IPS panel with G-Sync and HDR. There aren't many options in this size if this is the size you're hoping for. At $1200-$1600, its a hard sell for the 4" over cheaper similarly specced 34" panels, but if you can get it for $1000 or cheaper, that sounds amazing. Not the mention that Dell generally has great warranty service for their Alienware/Ultrasharp lines.

Display tech is such a mess right now, there is no perfect solution it's all about compromising somewhere.

The nearest competitor monitor exceeding this size with discounts atm are the G9 series from samsung and those monitors been plagued with issues. My GPU overheat sometimes but having a monitor overheat is not something I want to deal with.

Paid $1350 for mine a year ago. Awesome monitor. Ultra Wide is immersive plus this thing has gsync and HDR. Didn't think going from 34" to 38" would be a big upgrade but it was and 34" seems small now compared to this beast.

I added code DPA10 and then opted to pay with financing. The discount showed up in the review before I completed the transaction.

I think you might have lucked out, because it looks like the system is preventing the discount from applying to "limited quantity deals" now.
