This was by far the best router we ever had. Hardly ever drops, great connection, debatably better range than higher end models, I have tried a few and nothing came close to it.

while I don't have this router, I think this is a good option for a cheap aimesh node

I bought 3 of these from an Amazon seller at that price, they were already flashed to Asus RT-AC68u. These are solid routers.

Yep. Had this router with native t-mobile . No issues. Now wife needs better wifi and upgraded to mesh. Still have it as a backup. I never flashed it; so no security updates forever. Unless you flash it, likely not most secure. Google has instructions

Same here I have 3 nodes mesh with this. It has been stable for last five years. Wait for Wi-Fi 6 mesh deals to upgrade.

Extremely reliable router. I have had it running for 8 or so years and it has never had to be restarted except a few times when my internet provider went out. I have Philips Hue lights, Lutron Caseta hub, smart things hub, My Q opener, and 20 other connect devices and never have any issues with throughput or connection in a ~3000 sq. ft. house.

I have a total of 5 of these. They work great as aimesh nodes. I just grabbed a oculus quest 2 from the amazon deal and i'm hoping i'll be able to use the nodes (wired backhaul) with the AirLink thing

I am having a hard time getting these to work with a hotspot connected to them (as a separate network) but cant get it to work. Anyone run into this? Its with a Netgear Unite Explore throug a usb cable.

Have had mine for 3 years. Prior too this I seemed to burn up a router every year or two. This one puts up with my demand very well.

Repped. Bought 2 from this seller and 1 was bad. Seller was responsive and sent me a replacement quickly.
