If it means anything to ya, Projector Central has this ranked ahead of the Samsung. IMO, Benq has a lot more experience in building top notch projectors it'd be my pick. Especially @ a $1k difference, it's a no brainer.

ETA: looks like there is no review for it. And it's a triple laser so not in the same class. Also that Sammy has two models. Are you sure you aren't referring to the lsp7t? Cause the 9t is $5k or more which puts it in a different class of laser pj altogether over the benq.

I'll have to look into that. I know people complained about the fan noise on the BenQ but the Samsung seems to have some notable rainbow effects..

Not sure if its still available. It was listed on SD as 3999 with one of those Edu/first responder discount type of deal. It was pretty recent (like 1-2weeks). Sorry thats best I can remember.

I'd add l did get the LS7 Samsung, and from a support perspective it was horrible, Samsung reps had a hard time knowing that they even sold the product, and kept classing it as a TV..... picture was good some blur in the top left hand corner, but l ended up returning mine due to the lack of support.

I watched a review on the LS9 and basically the issue they have is color accuracy out of the box. You have to basically mess around pretty good with it because the out of box presets suck. Disappointing for a product that has an MSRP over $6k.

Neither unless you have a very specific need for ultra short it's a rip. Most people, myself included, would have a hard time even making this work

Maybe with rear pro but that's a waste of light and bad if you don't have 100% dark

How would most have a hard time making it work? I have a dedicated HT room. Currently, I have a ceiling mounted PJ. All I have to do is a put a small end table against the wall in front of me to make this work. Easy peasy.
