1. Because you use Google home products instead of ring ( like me) primarily because ring doorbell is shit and nest doorbell has near instant detection and video ( the fastest on the market )

2. Google has much better ai detection and recognition.

3. Because you're a rich dick and like to show poor people with ring setups that you're clearly superior to them. /s

looks like they copied the regular outdoor cam description. so it does come with a battery, but it's a back-up battery for power loss. it still needs to be hardwired.

I think whomever wrote the description took the wifi "wireless" to mean "battery".

GA02411US is a hardwired model and I don't believe google even make a battery floodlight.

For me it makes sense to get this one since I have the Nest doorbell and a few other Google Nest devices. I think that would be the only real benefit. Not sure if there's a difference in features or video quality

Nest always is recording and has better video recording (even though both are 1080p).

I have one of these, the camera and the lights connect to wifi separately though you can have them react to each other (lights on when camera accessed or recording, etc..).
Basically when the power is turned off (all my outdoor lights are on a central sunset/sunrise timer), the camera works like one of their new battery powered cameras so it will record activity and alert if anything is detected. The feed isn't live during this time unless you select it to view. When power is turned back on, the camera provides a constant video feed and the lights will then connect to wifi and be accessible.

Be aware these are part of the new Nest cams, and will require Google Home app and not the Nest app. Some features may be missing, some features are being worked on as well as migrating currently supported Nest devices to Google Home.
