Wow how do these people find these? We're they in stores like Walmart?
If I recall, it was a preorder type box, if you didn't get it with preorder pretty much your only chance is gonna be third party, which is why they are charging out the ass for them, because they know you can't find stock elsewhere. I ended up just buying the Pikachu gold card out of it and being happy, but yea, some of those cards are gonna be worth a mint in a couple of years.

I made the following post and put it in the Wiki:

Question: Should I buy this? Answer: Buy this if your kids love Pokemon and you have not bought any Celebration cards for Christmas. If you notice, Pokemon Celebrations sell out almost right away, for most of their products. This kit includes: 10 Pokémon -Celebrations 4-card booster packs, so it will give your kid at least a few of the Celebration cards, to make them happy!

Question: Is this good for scalping? Answer: No. There have been too many printings of the Celebration set, for this to go up, in the near term. Unless there are millions of new kids that want to enjoy Pokemon, this set will be available for a long time, for a decent price. Yes, it sells out right away, but I think those that really want this, have had a chance to purchase one.

Question: Is there a better Celebrations kit to purchase? Answer: There are other Celebration Kits, but they sell out fast. They have different products in them, so unless you really want to hunt (spend a lot of time looking ) or want something specific, buy this and ask questions later. Of course you can go on several other sites and pay a premium for the kit you want , then it is NOT a slickdeal :-)

Question: What about the Ultra Premium Collection? Answer: That had a very limited printing and probably won't be printed again ( that is the thinking of most people ). It is almost impossible to get at a decent price, but you can get it for about $250 from ... e b a y

Question: Is there some better Pokemon cards that might be better to get for my kids? Answer: That depends on if you want the Celebrations set or a different set. If you want the Celebrations set, they sell out pretty fast, so you have to be checking everything frequently, so the recommendation is to purchase anything Celebrations ( at the regular retail price), if you ( or your kids ) want the Celebrations set, by Christmas. There are several other sets that have come out that are available online or thru your local game store, but those are not the Celebrations set. Usually, you will be paying a small premium for Celebrations, if you really want it, unless you are quick on the purchase, or get lucky.

Question: Is this really for fun or about collecting? Answer: This is more about fun. If you are really want to collect or get the exact card you want, it is much better to just go out and purchase a couple of the cards you want. It is rare for you to pull the exact cards you (or your kids ) want to collect from a box that you purchase. It would be much better to just purchase the exact card you want. (I think those that are asking this question, probably know this answer already, but for a few of you newbies, I am trying to provide the best advice )

These are no longer reselling for a profit. So only get them if you actually want them

I'm an adult and haven't owned/collected any Pokemon cards in my life until now but I always wanted to collect some. What can I expect from this box?

I was able to get a box after launch from BB online, but they sold out really fast. GameStop just released a limited quantity online yesterday, but again they sold out fast. There were also limited amounts in stores as well, but everything so far points to this being far more limited in quantity than other boxes in this collection.

If you follow @PokemonTCGDrops and @switchstock on Twitter, they post when various Pokémon cards are posted online. Turning on notifications for their tweets is probably the best way to get in stock alerts. That's how I scored the UPC from BB.

$49.99 is literally the retail price on these in stores. Why is this on the front page?
Because it's in stock.

I just bought two boxes from my local Walmart store for $50. Not sure why theses are $81 online. I'd recommend checking your local Walmart first.

The price online is now higher because they're not being sold by Walmart. See "Compare all sellers."

Expect A bunch of cards that you dont want to damage. You will look at them once, maybe arrange them in order and put them away for years.
The other option is to look for grown ups to play Pokemon with... good luck with that.
Or find some kids to play with, that would be weird though
