The reason I didn't get the $850 deal is that every reviewer says the trackpad is terrible on it. I do not see those complaints about this Sword model. Another plus here? But only if you can live with the graphics downgrade, which is substantial.

Thank you for your detailed comments! Could you offer some insights on whether this model will work better for a programmer/data analyst like me? Thank you so much in advance!
Parameters to consider:
  • occasional data visualization (Tableau, R),
  • mostly intensive modeling/simulation/machine learning
  • I open lots of tabs and apps simultaneous for productivity
  • I have three external monitors
