Just got an email from Microsoft inviting me to buy the XBox X available in limited quantities on Microsoft Online Store.

You have to bundle a game and a controller and it all came out to $720.
I was able to buy one for the delivery date of 12/22

Still in the box. I have not opened the box. I am waiting for the invite from Sony or GameStop... I may breakdown and forgo the PS5... Frown

Of course my old original link that I actually use for XBOX works now, but out of stock...

Fortunately I had a family account that also got the link.and was able to order two Series X. Two digital games are a wash though.since I don't use that family account for XBox.Frown

Shit, I ordered mk11 as a game thinking I could sell it but didn't realize that it was digital and that I already had it in my microsoft account. Think they let me pick a different game? if so how should I contact them?

I received the refund confirmation this morning, so I can confirm that it worked for me and took roughly 24 hours from the time I clicked submit to when the refund email showed up.

After a 5 day odyssey starting the Friday before Thanksgiving when I first got the email invite that included the "Something went wrong on our side" error and chatting with 5 different reps over 5 different days and hear 5 different stories I came here and saw the suggestion that I needed to empty my cart. This worked. When I first tried ordering on 11/19 my credit card flagged the charge as fraud so the cart stayed full and the errors started. The problem now is that my estimated delivery is 12/27 and this is a Christmas present for my kid and what really gets me is if I could have ordered before 11/25 or if any of the reps had been able to help instead of waste my time I probably would have gotten it before Christmas.

I wound up getting 2 PS5's from Walmart's drop yesterday but the Xbox was sold out pretty much immediately when I got "in line" even though I refreshed repeatedly before noon and right at noon. If there is anyone in the SE PA area that has an unopened Xbox and wants to trade for an unopened PS5 I'd be up for that.

So you are upset that your kid won't have an Xbox series x by Christmas but will have it 2 days later, yet you bought 2 PS5's so someone else's kid definitely won't have a PS5 by Christmas?

I got the PS5's because they were available and my neighbors are looking for them for their kids. I was off and able to be online at that time and we've all been trying to look for each other. So someone else's kid will have the PS5's that may not have gotten one otherwise. Did you think I was just going to throw them in a closet and laugh as they sit unused? Reading back through this whole thread there are people who got an Xbox that don't need it and I was just trying to offer an even trade. If I get an Xbox before Christmas then the one I get after Christmas will go to someone who may not have been able to get one before. I'd ask if that all sounded ok to you but I don't care. I'm going to spend my time enjoying the season and not trolling other peoples' posts. Happy Holidays to you.
