I bought and returned it. 144hz panels have 45% ntsc color gamut that's why it's cheap

Saw it at Costco and the display looked dull. The associate was going to try to see if he could tweak the settings but the laptop was locked and he couldn't bypass that. If this came with a better display and I could be assured that there are no longer any issues with MSI hinges I would be more interested in purchasing this. Will most likely get a Lenovo Legion but go with a 3070.

I'm hoping that Costco will stock a Legion 5 Pro with a better gpu some time in the near future. The associate hinted that this may be happening. This is what they are offering now: https://www.costco.com/lenovo-leg...94372.html

I would like to purchase through Costco because of the warranty and 90 day return but if a good deal pops up on Lenovo.com again I would probably just purchase directly. Hopefully I won't procrastinate next time. :-)

Only if you bought it online originally. If you bought it originally in store, you have to price adjust in store.
Nope, not true. You can price adjust in store purchases online now.

Last year or earlier this year, wasn't this the sell price for a similar last gen but with 10th gen inte and a 2060?
Yeah, I bought the MSI GE75 Raider Last Year around this time (last year) for $1200.

I'm using it right now: MSI GE75 RAIDER w/ i7-10750H @ 2.6GHz, 16GB RAM, and RTX 2060

My main complaints are the keyboard (Windows Key) and Fan Noise... also, the Memory is constantly at 80% just using Chrome Browser...

Notes the backorder is just for another 4 days (which may or may not be true). After trying all the browsers and tricks I could think of I was able to add to the cart by selecting "Add to list" instead. Create new list, open list, then add to cart from there worked fine. It says no charge until ship so can always give it a try and cancel if something else comes along.

I bought this about a week ago after asking if I could get a price adjustment when it goes on sale for Black Friday and I was told yes. I used a benchmarking test and the CPU and GPU received above average scoring and the ssd speed received below average scoring (this is my first SSD though so it's still blindingly fast to me). I would describe the display as average video quality. The display is ok. Things that are deep reds look a little orangey. So the color accuracy is what's off a bit and not necessarily the display's picture quality. Bottom line is I wanted a 17" with a great cpu and gpu that wasn't much more than $1k. This is the one for me. It is 67% more dollars as it's $2k for the next level up GE76 with a more color accurate screen (and 3070/16GB more RAM). So to me it is just not worth it for more color accuracy and a bit more brightness out of the display. Also $2k is WAY out of the budget! All of the other 3060 deals I have seen that were $1,200 or less were GPU wattage throttled and this one is definitely not. Besides the display not being the best, this laptop is VERY heavy. I'm used to that because my previous laptop was a desktop replacement Sony VAIO that weighs maybe 1/2 pound less but, still figured I'd mention it. I also took a look at e B a y and last year's similarly spec'ed (albeit with 10th processor and 20 series GPU) GE75 models regularly sell for $1,100ish still. This is a great deal and over the past week of ownership, I still haven't seen a deal on another similarly spec'ed out laptop that has made me want to return it and get that instead. So for all those interested in this laptop, I am going to use the word "serviceable" to describe the display but, most other aspects of it are on the high end of the spectrum. Love the keyboard feel and the fact that you can have more than one extra monitor connected without a dock/adapter being necessary as well.

How do the specs of this laptop compare to a similar desktop like this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DHTWR5N that was also $1,199 recently? Looking for a gaming system for my son. Both will be connected to a monitor.
What, this was 1.2k? Why do I always miss good deals....
