I concur! Compared to the 5160, the only thing you can't do with it is the bi-directional testing.
How is this better than a typical ob2 scanner? Does it have Bluetooth software on a PC for more features Will? Will this work on Nissan and Mercedes cars?

Depends on what you mean for a typical OBD2 scanner. I'm coming from a basic code reader that only tells you code numbers. This 5100RS can see ABS and SRS codes, graphing (2 only; 5610 can do 4), smog test indicators and a few other minor things.
Bluetooth pairing seems to be for transferring the codes to the phone to look up how to repair the issue on their ReapirSolutions2 app. I don't think it will send info to the phone if you were to be in the engine trying to diagnose it. I could be wrong on this but Bluetooth wasn't a big deciding factor.
It says that this will work with foreign cars. ABS and SRS codes might be a different story as the listing on Summit Racing doesn't specifically mention Nissan or Mercedes, just Honda and Toyota.
I still haven't received my 5100RS. It shipped but it's apparently in SC. I didn't expect to get it the time FedEx said it was going to be delivered originally.
I see the 5610 is available now. You can go onto Innova's website and put your car information and see if the 5610 will work for you.
