Deco x60 for $40 less at Costco claims same 7000 sqft coverage- though max 3000 vs 3600 speed. But I like the shorter form factor and the all white vs b/w 2tone of this model

Finally for a change I have a solid reliable Wi-Fi network all around the house with out the family complaining about drops. I have a wired back haul between all 3 x60 satellites. A very important thing to note is you can't have any d-link switches anywhere in your home.
My home is about 3200 sq foot with a pretty decent back yard. Although I am a techie I just got tired of tweaking around the router settings and as I purchased from Costco I had the warm and fuzzy feeling of retuning If it did not pan out. More importantly this allows me to extend the mesh with a stand alone satellite which you can pick up for cheap in eBay.
This X60 at the $220 price point has been a rock solid choice for me, sure I don't get granular controls with a great web ui, but I now have a reliable and functional Wi-Fi network at home and reasonable controls to control network access for my kids.
Now my brother and one of my good friends who is no techie has it too and finally for a change all 3 of us are not whining about our home networks.

Someone else had said these don't interloper across nodes, so the furthest away node still can only connect to the main node even if they are very far from one another (don't have these yet, so would be good if any owner could confirm this)

Looking thru the features, looks like home care (with x60) has the ability to set bedtime for weekdays and weekends plus time limit for free. whereas home shield (available with this router) only has ability to set everyday bed time for free. Time limits and flexible bed time options seem to be a pro(paid) feature. Can anyone confirm this?
If so x60 is a better deal (don't need tri band as I have wired backhaul)
I actually had tried out a deco mesh when I wanted to upgrade from my orbi rbk50. It gave me a ton of issues with my tp link wireless switches. I found out that with the deco you CANNOT choose a wireless channel. The setting doesn't exist on their app. It'll always be set to auto and that caused my switches to constantly lose connection, making them unusable. I use the switches to control the small heaters and camera monitors in my toddlers room.
With orbi, I could specify and set a specific channel. And I've had 0 issues with my Orbi. I returned the deco and stuck with orbi.
