I don't have a comprehensive answer to this, but I am looking to replace my Orbi, mostly because I can't stand a) the Netgear interface, b) subscription model for support, and c) the very difficult to use "circle by Disney" nonsense.

This set at the regular price is already the best deal for a tri-band wifi 6 mesh setup. The $70 off makes this a steal.

Yup, same here. First got the orbi last year, then realizing the circle was so limited w/o subscription, returned for the deco m9. The TP link controls offer a daily time limit per user which can include multiple devices, but unfortunately only a single on/off bedtime period per day. But circle I think had no daily time limits w/o subscription, only a single timer, if I remember. Yeah I'm going to spend $60/yr for less controls than I had w/ my old moto modem router (as many events as I could ever use- I had like 35 on off times for different devices)

Deco x60 for $40 less at Costco claims same 7000 sqft coverage- though max 3000 vs 3600 speed. But I like the shorter form factor and the all white vs b/w 2tone of this model

I tried the webpage route and still didn't work. By then I gave up on orbi. Now that my whole house has been setup with deco routers I just don't want to deal with the hassle anymore as myq setup was just a waste of my time. Deco routers aren't as strong as orbi but it was what finally worked and I don't want to setup every device all over again.

The x20 is ax1800 max throughput 1.8 gigabit with up to 5,800 sq ft coverage. This is ax3600 3.6 gigabit max throughput with up to 7,000 sq ft coverage and has an additional band (tri band)

The W3600 is a tri-band router, the x20 is a dual-band system. They are not the same and the extra band allows for a lot more flexibility and performance.

I've had an older gen Orbi and did find playback with my Ring devices to be very large. At time taking a while to load or not getting notified timely. At times the ethernet would require reset on one of my satellites as it would lose connectivity. The fact that I need to pay extra to take advantage of the extra security was a pretty big con given that it takes away from the value of having an orbi. I'll give the Deco a shot and see how well it fairs.

I would expect that most people getting this would run it wirelessly because its tri-band and most people going with a wired backhaul would save a few bucks and get the dual-band x60 instead.

I've x60 and I'm using it with ethernet backhaul - quite solid except for some occasional hiccups. Not sure if this is an upgrade given that:
