These things are hot garbage. Your basic standup fan will pump more air thru. It's also not very stable on its base, easily knocked over. No ability to mute the obnoxiously loud beeps each time it's turned on/off or any button is pressed (I literally took it apart and placed tape over the speaker). LEDs are extremely bright. Remote requires you to point it directly at IR receiver located at top of unit. While running, unit is extremely loud, especially on highest setting.
Sounds like you either are just not liking the item (then just return it and get a Dyson for 15 times that cost) or you got a bad unit.

Have no problems w/ stability (did you snap it together as indicated and put the cord through the opening so the base does not rest on the cord?), remote works well and noise level is no more than that of other fans (esp. as you say, when running on level 4 - never had to use that around here to stay cool, but tried it and it was way more than needed. Noise on L3 is comparable to Honeywell fans on III.)
it definitely puts out a lot of air to keep one cool. Had to use it this summer when AC broke right after having surgery (Deep South) and it kept the sleeping / resting areas very comfy.

Yes, it can be a tad loud, but it depends what your ambient noise level is. Never had to use it on 4 here, but it is very stable when put together correctly.
Remote can be a bit of thing, but being unable to move a lot the first few days post-op, it was a godsend.

For the price, it's at least as good at the Vornado knock off Honeywell fans, and it actually rotates. (Yes, it beeps when you change things, but around here that's preferred over no noise upon changing things...

To each their own. Buy and if you don't like, return...

I bought 2 when they were $20 in warehouse. I use it every night for a white noise breeze. Buying 2 more today at this price.
Good to know the same price in the warehouse. Thanks.

Yes, the beeps are annoying, they are hard to take apart for deep cleaning and they aren't as powerful as a box fan. The advantages are that it takes up little floor space, works well in a corner and looks much better than traditional fans.

I have this fan. I purchased it from Costco reg price for $40

This current deal is great. The stand is a bit unstable but the fan has a lot of great settings. I don't have any ceiling fans in my extra bedrooms, I equipped the rooms with these stand fans and it has been a perfect solution for my guests.

I have 3 of these from Costco BM pickup for $20 from two years ago. In addition to all above (especially Remote being very weak/useless) - the main issue for me is that these can NOT be controlled by smart plug since they do not have a mechanical switch. I would rather have an old style fan with mechanical switch so I can turn on/off with Alexa/Google/Siri etc.

I bought one of these and had it shipped. Make a loud clicking sound with each direction change. Returned it for a refund. The warehouse had the same item on display, and was packaged differently than the shipped item. I bought one from the store, and it works great. No problems, lots of air is moved, and it is very quiet.

I got 2 from store this summer and I believe I paid $27 or so.
Both still working fine, no issues (no noise when direction change).
They push a lot of air, and I was hoping that that lowest setting would push a bit less, hence less noise.
Remote must be pointed towards the unit to operate.
Base it is a bit flimsy but for us held just fine.

Picked one up in warehouse over the summer. Not impressed. I paid more...around $30...wouldn't pay $20 for another.

Bought one of these $20 fans from Costco about 5 years ago. From this day I still use it, even though it's fall here in New England. For $20 it's a great deal. Pumps air, fairly quite, good white noise sound for sleeping. Also still no funky squeaking noises coming from the movement after 5 years.
