When you purchase, you get a key to redeem on your microsoft account. So when you get a new pc, you need to sign out of your microsoft account on your old device and sign in on the new device.

If you havent signed out on the old computer, you go to the account settings of the microsoft account and remove the old device from the list of logged in devices.

It makes me so mad that Microsoft has moved to this stupid model. Used to be that you can get Office Home for like $15. For personal use, I've completely moved to Google Docs. The only thing that I miss is Office for my resume. I'll probably go to the library to update it if I have to.

and I love all things Microsoft, but this is a stupid stupid move

t just did this with 2016, as soon as you click activate the 2nd pc it will move the activation to the new PC, so you have to activate on the first one once you connect to a network again.

Don't fall for those key websites . I've been scammed on those cheap deals . It works for awhile then it says to enter a license . Microsoft customer service will not help you resolve it .

I use Thunderbird because I am cheap, but Outlook is much, much better when you email and calendar a lot.

Oh ok, I only started using it recently to try and clean up my gmail account easier but haven't really compared the two. For my purpose it seems good.
