I had this and had to uninstall it when it ate batteries like crazy. I tried Alkaline, Lithium and even regular Heavy Duty and none lasted past a few days.

No, this does not have Smartkey function, so they would be wrong. No hole next to key. The similar Smartcode 915 model has Smartkey for example

I wouldn't buy this. I bought the Sifely Deadbolt and some chrome door handles without a lock. Love unlocking the door with the app or sending 1 time use codes to people to enter themselves. Had it for a half a year still hasn't replaced the batteries.
Thinking about getting this for a rental property.. for the price, it seems like a steal! I did just look up what the smart key functionality was and that does seem pretty clutch as well
I had this for a year I'd say. From day one the screen had this issue where random numbers would be lit and you'd have to hit those numbers before it would show them all and you could enter your code. Might have been isolated issue but replaced it with a Kwikset Halo and it's great.
If you want something simple and reliable and don't need smart key I'd recommend the Defiant keypads

This right here is one reason why anybody shouldn't buy this. Thanks and Repped

Sifely looks cool. Double the price but way more features.

Except it's very possible just an install issue: these electronic locks are easy to crimp cables and short out batteries if you aren't careful.
I installed a Schlage keypad lock on my front door about 10 years ago.
Remember reading reviews then about how it ate batteries. I've replaced the battery in mine (9v) MAYBE 3 times in 10 years. 5 person family, so that front door gets used CONSTANTLY.
Home Depot had these for Black Friday a few years ago at this price. Great for the money if you aren't expecting Bluetooth entry or smart features. Buying again.

I've had one on my shop in the back and it's been solid for a year.
Smart lock with app connected or simply keypad lock like this?
