mine get here tomorrow from the previous posting last week. from reading the reviews they dont give off 'light'. so, i was thinking about getting a couple of those basic white ceramic fixtures and wiring a cord with a plug. something like this

Agree. I have a couple and they don't put out any substantial light. Any decent fixture that shows off the bulb should be good

I got one the last time they went on sale, while they do look good in the right fixture. Be warned, it's not that these produce a low level of light in comparison to a standard light bulb. These provide virtually no light what so ever.

yap, just a novelty

they appear like nice night lights. put one in the bathroom in front of the counter mirror.

I bought two of these lamps and am sending them back since they are so dim they are useless as a lamp. The image is also static. Very disappointing. Not recommended
