Do you know if there any with wifi and zwave/zigbee in case wifi goes down? I keep eyeing the Eufy wifi lock but their keys seem hard to replicate
if wifi goes down, zwave goes down. The benefit is that you're not overloading all your devices on the router. Think Wifi and "Zifi"; think red wavelengths and blue wavelengths.
If you have 20 switches or light bulbs you want in your ecosystem, smart garage, smart water sprinkler, 5 people with 2 devices each, that's 32 devices loaded onto your router, which can impacts your wifi. Your wifi might be more impacted if you run on slower speeds. Having it on the zwave splits that up.

Ohh I was under the impression of wifi goes down, you can still control zwave/zigbee with a hub like smarthings or hubitat

To be clear, you can control those type of devices if your internet goes out, if you're on the same wireless network as the hub is. If your wifi goes down, meaning you no longer have local network access, you lose remote control.

What's the difference between using Zwave compared to a second router?

I have this about a year and I would not recommend anyone buying this regardless of the sale. There are better more reliable options out there. First of, battery last anywhere from 2-3 month (using Energizer and Duracell) not the 6 month as advertised. The kwikset app is horrible! It doesn't always respond. I have 2 of these installed on two different houses to be used as Airbnb. The access codes from one house transpose onto the other house.
Calling Kwikset customer service will result in auto hanging up. (Try it +18003275625 no matter what option you choose, it will hang up on you). I was able to reach someone once after 20 tries and they reported there was a firmware update recently and I needed to be w/I Bluetooth range in order to update it. The only problem is.... I would have to fly to another state to be in front of this lock to do this update (how is this "smart device" again?). This lock has been a nightmare.

That's what I'm looking for as well. All the others don't play nice if you have more than one unit.
Can you share why you don't like this? Thinking about buying this for my new home
