That is not my personal experience. Yes, if you use a Grubhub promo code, you must use a credit card or Paypal. However, in this case, these are not promo codes, these are gift card codes that will load into your Grubhub account as a Gift Card balance and valid payment method. You can use a promo code with an order and it will take the balance off of your Gift card balance first as the payment method and it there isn't enough of a balance to pay for the entire order, it will take the remainder from a credit card or Paypal.I've had a giftcard balance on my Grubhub account for a long time and never had a problem using a promo code with an order and paying with my gift card balance. Again, that's been my personal experience.

Edited to Add: When checking out, whether you use a promo code or not, on payment method, you have to scroll down on the payment methods and Gift Cards should be listed right under your credit cards. . Just hit "Apply Your Gift Cards".

I agree with JohnInNYC. I have had no issues with using GC and Promo Codes.

This is not true at all. I order from Grubhub constantly and I've never had an issue with promo codes + gift card payments. I've done it easily over 100 times.

I do pickup I don't get delivery. I also just got the code via email so it takes about an hour to come.

Restaurant I pickup from got the same prices but I mean a lot of people like the convenience. Free $10 why not.

I think it ultimately depends on what restaurants are near you (whether they increase prices or not) and how often you get promo codes (like get 5 off $20) which you can combine with this.

How do you pay with GC after using promo code? It specifically says you can only use credit card if you use promo code. And is the bonus $10 like a promo code or a gift card?
