Great Mbo. I paid 175 for the same board. It was 5900x ready for me. Still updated bios tho. Great deal if you are upgrading. This one is non wifi, so I went with this on since I already had a wifi card.

Newegg is an awful awful retailer now. I wouldn't buy something like a mobo or any computer hardware from them given their terrible customer support. Rebate is just icing on top of the red flag cake.

Bad time to buy AM4. Spend $60 more and you get Z690 with a 12th gen CPU that is more than $60 cheaper than AMD's offerings, and 12th gen performs better. Z690 also has PCIe 5.0, optional DDR5 with on-die ECC, USB 4+thunderbolt 4, better chipset and VRM, and will support 13th gen, while AM4 will not support Zen 4.

Bad time to buy a Intel chip, esp their alder lake.

Dos not work on over 50 games and counting.

Runs hot.

Horrible performance in Windows 11

ya. like to know the current B550 / X570 deals to recommend pairing with a 5700G.
Looking for a ATX board.
Don't care about the RGB frills.
no need wifi as I already have a pci AX200 card
Looking for a feature pack value board.

Most brands (MSI, ASUS, ASROCK, GIGABYTE) have offers ranging up to $180, so not sure what's the most value board to get now.
any recommendations will be appreciated worship

I seem to remember reviews for this strix board and people saying they had problems with disconnects from the internet. Not fun when your online games drop you. Read up before you buy.

I own this board and no issues with Internet disconnect. I have tested it with long sessions of BF V online gameplay (8hrs. + online). Very stable with a 5900X, 64GB GSkill RAM at 3733mhz, MSI RTX 3080 Gaming X trio, Super Flower 1000W platinum PS

I doubt this would be a big upgrade. I have this mobo and it's been solid. It's over a year old, so I don't think it's better or worse than your steel legend.
I've only had one issue, there's a known issue where the pci-e auto detect creates a problem. It's an easy fix.

I like that this board. For the price, at least it has some troubleshooting leds which help to narrow down where your boot issue is if anything's wrong.

Other than wifi, it has most of the good features you'd want on a mid range mobo.

Bad time to buy Z690. AMD's next CPU is right around the corner and will outperform Z690. See what I did there? I dislike your post, it's meaningless because Intel and AMD will always just be ping ponging. Go with what you like best, ignore this guy.
