I have been using this cooker for 6 years. It's great. Is the Japan made model better? Maybe but this is a solid perfect every time rice cooker.

We have this exact model and make jasmine rice all the time using the long grain setting, turns out perfect every time. Brown rice is amazing using the GABA setting but does take over two hours.

No Porridge setting means it is too small, but it has three directions heating, better than what sold at Costco.

How do you do the GABA setting? I always make brown rice on the regular brown rice setting, which takes about 90 mins... interested to hear about gaba!
