Have the impact drill, it's really good. Much better than Milwaukee drill that I have.

I have all of those, except for the grinder. They're all awesome. I've never had a single problem with any of metabo/ Hitachi after 10+ years of owning them.

I've got the compact (black) versions of the drill and impact and they are great. If I wasn't already deep in the DeWalt line 8 wouldn't hesitate on Metabo. But I think there's a better way to build a kit given the current pricing.

What is your ideal kit build out based on the pricing and deals? I dived headfirst into the Milwaukee line and specifically M18. Starting to pickup M12 right now too. It's a sick addiction Frown

I just got this set two days ago and it's amazing. Doing bathroom remodel. I don't know how to post deals but I got the big boy battery 18/36v that is 8ah on 18v for $169 and you get a tool free. So I got the jigsaw. You could get a router if that's more your speed too. I will say in a pinch the recip saw can t shanks and does just fine as a stand in for a jigsaw as well as just more controlled cutting in general. So $560 and I have 3 batteries, two chargers, and a complete tool bag. Side note the circular saw is amazing. Cuts deeper than a standard 7.25". Can't say enough good about these tools. Lifetime tool no hassle warranty on these too!

Here is the link to the additional deal to get a huge battery and round out the kit. I believe 8ah is one of if not the biggest 18v batteries around. It's got a charge meter too.

This is the most under-rated deal this season! Quality, value for the money. All tools brushless. They operate on both 18v, 36v batteries. With 36v battery, one can also use AC adapter, Lifetime warranty on tools (only), 2 year warranty batteries.
Deal even better with Lowe's $100/$10 x 2 gift cards, additional $5 if you open My Lowe's account.
Got one today.

Is this just the price? Is it discounted? Has it recently been reduced or is it on sale? Usually out of stock?

I've owned my Hitachi tools for over 10 years, and replaced the batteries once, so far. Circular saw, 2 drivers, reciprocating saw, right angle driver, and have never had an issue, even after dropping one of the drivers off of my roof, about a 15 ft fall onto earth. If you're looking to invest in a good line of tools, I highly recommend the Metabo/Hitachi line.

Note that the angle grinder and recip (which is a one-hander) are not brushless.
