Bought this 11/10, Got a price adjustment. Thank you.

This TV is good for the price. If you're handy with android and tinkering, I would enable dev mode and debloat this thing.

Check out XDA or other resource for more

For mine, I did
- Disable animation speeds
- Debloat
- Change and replaced the ad filled launcher with mlauncher.
- Remap home button with Button Mapper

The results are silky smooth expience.

As for the hardware, the stands can be installed in 2 positions - one is closer to the edge and the other is closer to the center. The stands look tiny and extremely wide.

I wish the U8G would also drop a bit.

That's stupid. The top end TVs of those brands are great, but the ones this competes with in price and size are inferior to it in every way.

Question for all you TV experts. Is there any benefit to get this TV versus say the $550 Element…..in terms of picture quality…..if one is only going to be feeding it the "basic" $8.99 Netflix service??
Basic Netflix is SD, which is DVD quality. Both TVs are decent for upscaling DVD but they will both still look like shit.

Looking to get a bigger tv from my 65r625 that i got last year, bought a new house and 65 isnt big enough because i have a hard time reading text in games. Would this at least be a sidegrade? I see the peak brightness is a little lower than what i have now, but everything else is pretty similar i think.
Downgrade on quality but obviously an upgrade on size.

I'd go for the 75 " U7G or TCL R646 if you have the budget. Both have more advanced gaming features as well

Looking for some help from the SD community.

I'm looking to mount a TV outside under a patio cover coming off the back of the house. Location is very well protected and we're in Southern California so temperatures/weather won't be too much of an issue. So a non-outdoor rated TV should be fine.

Would this be good a good set for that purpose? Don't want a really reflective screen because it will be outdoors and have a ton of light behind it.

We currently stream our TV/Movies with a Roku device on our main TV and no gaming.

One consideration of U6G vs U7G is that the 75" U7G is confirmed IPS, so better viewing angles but worse contrast than 65" and 55" U7G and 75" U6G. Rtings claims U6G is confirmed VA for 75 (even though in some places Hisense themselves stated otherwise).

I pulled the trigger. Seems like the best deal I have seen on a quality 75" since the 950ish TCL 635 pre-COVID.

This is it. I have done hundreds of hours of research, and this is by far the best deal I've seen in 2021 on a 75". I almost bought this in September at $1099 but it was sold out!

Think I'll just bide my time and wait until I can afford a higher end TV. Thank ya.

Anyone have luck getting a price adjustment from Amazon. Just got denied chatting for a purchase I made on Saturday for this TV, which was delivered on Tuesday.
Terrible way is to buy another then return it (but say it was the one you already opened).

It's stupid they won't just adjust

TCL R625 is a solid TV. Any quality improvements are going to be marginal but if you need more size, so be it.

I agree, I really like the TV, but I probably sit 15 feet away from it. Wish they made a 75in in the u8g.

Thanks. Just got off the phone and was able to get it adjusted as a one-time exception.
What did you have to say? I spoke with a customer service rep online and on the phone and they refused to refund the difference for me.

At 15 feet, you need an 85" Smilie

Sony X91J is the best deal at the moment if one has the budget
