Except they don't. Gillette is owned by P&G (since 2005). DSC was acquired by Unilever in 2015, and Unilever is P&G's biggest competitor across almost all product lines.

Gillette owns Dollar Shave Club. They bought them out and then killed off the dollar razor. I'm convinced they bought DSC just so they could kill the dollar razor because they didn't just stop selling it, they also sued the manufacturer (Dorco) who were supplying the rebranded razors to DSC. Dorco couldn't afford to fight the bs lawsuit so they were forced to stop manufacturing the razors.

Gillette doesn't want shaving to be affordable or else they'll have trouble selling their ripoff cartridges. DSC's claim to fame was the dollar razor. They made shaving dirt cheap for awhile. I was happy with that dollar razor. That's why I hate Gillette and avoid anything they make.

This is actually a great deal on the refills. This is a good time to restock. And it's one more item for me to get my 5 S&S and save 15% instead of 5%. Thanks OP and repped.

One can go to Dollar Shave Club if you want worse blades (per ratings) for the same refill cost, whether their 6-blade or 4-blade (per their site or walmart's site). Funny they aren't a dollar anymore lol.

The quality on these is horrible. I regret ever buying them. 1/2 a shave before they go bad. I really doubted all of the previous negative reviews, but never again. I would not recommend.

Yes. Do not ever buy Gillette products from Amazon. There is a high chance that you will receive fakes that are of awful quality. It's not worth the savings. They're lower quality than disposable Bics.

When these first came out one cartridge would last me a month, now it doesn't even give me a good shave the first time. I won't buy razors from Amazon anymore

Anyone ever try Gillette G5? My absolute favorite razor blade from Gillette and they're only $25 for 12 blades including a handle (free shipping too). I learned long ago to never trust Amazon for blades and now only buy them direct from Gillette. These blades are SHARP and last longer than any other blades I've bought from them. They do have the $2 dollar razor, the G5. I wrote a blurb about it below. It's my favorite Gillette blade.

Link doesn't work. Doesn't matter because they're never selling the cartridges for cheap anyway. That's how they operate. $25 for 12 cartridges, 2.00+ a cartridge is not a deal. DSC gave you a razor handle and 5 cartridges for $3 incl shipping.
