Except they don't. Gillette is owned by P&G (since 2005). DSC was acquired by Unilever in 2015, and Unilever is P&G's biggest competitor across almost all product lines.

Gillette owns Dollar Shave Club. They bought them out and then killed off the dollar razor. I'm convinced they bought DSC just so they could kill the dollar razor because they didn't just stop selling it, they also sued the manufacturer (Dorco) who were supplying the rebranded razors to DSC. Dorco couldn't afford to fight the bs lawsuit so they were forced to stop manufacturing the razors.

Gillette doesn't want shaving to be affordable or else they'll have trouble selling their ripoff cartridges. DSC's claim to fame was the dollar razor. They made shaving dirt cheap for awhile. I was happy with that dollar razor. That's why I hate Gillette and avoid anything they make.

I've been bald since 18.. gave in and started shaving my head around 19.. that was 15 years ago now. For 10 years the only reason I kept my costco membership was to buy these in bulk for the savings. After moving about 5 years ago the costco near me was a huge pain in the ass so I tried other razers. I ended up saying fark it one day and bought the Walmart Equate 5 blade [walmart.com] and its just close and smooth as the gillette and the only razor aside from gillette that doesn't cause my head to break out. 8 pack of refills are $3 less than this sale price. They do tend to be oos so whenever i see them at walmart i stock up.

Never again will I trust Amazon for Gillette Razors!
I bought a similar deal earlier this year and the blades are definitely NOT authentic. Razor burn and irritation.

Yeah the quality has gone down real bad from Gillette. I use Schick , Edgewell is a great American Company.
