I got the subscription and install the App in iphone and Android. However, I can't get connected to any server. Is there special setup or instructions that allow you connect.
I have used two different previously without any issues

Tunnel Bear is free if that's all you're using it for. I think you get a free GB each month.

These apps won't work on my PC or my phone over wifi or LTE. Waste of money if they don't fix this.

FastestVPN works fine, as I can attest, as can the majority of others on SD who have FastestVPN. To those who can't get it working and insist others should not buy FastestVPN or any other VPN for that matter, using a VPN securely, privately and with complete anonymity requires a skill set you are not yet ready to implement. Perhaps your lack of knowledge of installing a VPN successfully is a blessing in disguise. You would only succeed in getting yourself into trouble.

Cut your teeth on Tor Browser for now. It's simple, it's free, it's ultimately secure and works in any environment. But Tor will not let you watch videos or download torrents, if that's your intent.

A skill set we are not ready to implement? It's not very difficult to use a VPN or to make sure it's protecting you properly. I've been using them for a decade. Perhaps those on SD who can attest to how great this service is are individuals who paid more than $16 for a lifetime membership and in turn probably have a higher server prioritization. $16 is ridiculously cheap for a lifetime membership and for those of us who can't connect to a server even once across multiple devices and operating systems, we see why it's so cheap. Also, you're never going to be completely anonymous as you suggest your advanced skill set is capable of.

I bought the FastestVPN lifetime offer 2 years ago when it was $8 on SD. I'm curious: are you people with the recent SD offer getting 63 servers like I am? Or have they cut down dramatically on that number for the basic lifetime package now?

After getting the run around about logging out and back in and trying other protocols, I asked for a refund. They said try it now and it works all of a sudden. If you're running into issues, make sure to request a refund and your account will magically begin to work. Seems very shady to me but at least it's working now.

I only use OpenVPN with FatstestVPN's *.opvn files. The last time I downloaded the files from FastestVPN there were 62 UDP files and 62 TCP files. I paid $17 a year-and-a-half ago and have never seen any indication they limit the number of servers or throttle a person's speed based on what they paid.

I have another VPN based in Australia. Of the two VPNs I currently have active accounts for, I prefer FastestVPN due to the fact they are based in the Cayman Islands.

Yes, before requesting a charge-back from your CC company or whatever, people should go to FastestVPN's homepage and click on Live Chat. Try to resolve your issue with them first. Once you get this actually working, it's one of the best deals available on SD; easily MY best deal ever on SD.

It's almost unbeliavable that I can stay connected now 24/7 and get full anonymity with both web browsing and P2P, though the lack of a kill switch with OpenVPN is disappointing but I haven't been disconnected once since I started using OpenVPN a month or so ago. I configure QBittorent to only use my VPN to connect which works even better than a kill switch.

is this legit? $20 for a lifetime? and 2TB cloud storage and password manager!?? i have a feeling something sketchy about this promotion. any thoughts, my online experts?
VPN company can see all your activity. Now think about who is interested in knowing about all of your activities. The $16 is just to confirm your identity with the credit card. It might as well be $0.99 and refundable but that would raise suspension.

Based on that logic, the same can be said about any VPN company, regardless of how much you pay for their service. Knowing that a government organization could set up a VPN and charge $5,000/yr, extolling their ultimate privacy, does paying more guarantee greater privacy? That's up to each individual to answer for himself.

Furthermore, any VPN based within the shores of a government entity that has subpoena power, can be compelled to keep all logs on an individual of interest regardless of that VPN's "no-log" policy.

For anyone interested and if you use a VPN you should be, research five eyes, nine eyes and fourteen eyes.

You are correct that OpenVPN does not offer a Settings kill switch. A kill switch would be a welcomed addition. I have seen my VPN connection get disconnected, perhaps due to lack of activity. What I've taken note of, is I will not have any Internet whatsoever when that happens. I can't even get an IP address check. While that's not a kill switch that can be trusted, it seems to act in the same manner.

Your solution is the best one. Limit the app to being able to only use the VPN connection, to the exclusion of any other open Internet connections that may be available.

I cancelled and initiated a refund.
Can anyone tell me the name that appears on your credit card statement?
I want to verify if the refund is processed and am unable to find the transaction.
