If your plan on buying more than 1 item (I.e. Doorbell and flood light) check out Eufy's ebay store. They have bulk pricing on several items. Placed a shared order with some friends and Hot 15% off BF prices.

Another difference between the Costco version, as per a commenter on that listing, is that the Costco version is rated for 120 days of battery life and this version on Amazon and their website is for 180 days. Spending the little extra for the longer battery life.

Your say the Costco one has no wire terminals. Are the terminals what allows it to be used as wired as well, or do they serve a different function?

because 2 of the reviews on Costco say it can be set up as wired or wireless.

a lot of confusion about the wired and wireless, here is how to differentiate them, one has battery and the other one does not have battery. the one in this deal has a battery.

Battery

* Power - Can be wired and wireless
if wired, you can use 8-24V AC or DC
if wireless, you have to charge it ever +/- 180 days
* Storage - in the HomeBase

No Battery
* Power - Needs to be wired to a 16-24V AC with minimum +30A
* Storage - inside the doorbell (data is encrypted)

If you are wondering why the power requirements are different for both, that is because the battery doorbell does not use the power directly, it only uses the power to charge it's battery.

The one on Costco (Model E82211W1) does not have option for power. It seems like a new model and might be exclusive for Costco or something like that.

I think he was referring to hardwiring the battery version so you don't have to manually recharge the battery. Apparently some battery version has the hardwiring option and some doesn't.

1080p had that, but for 2K I have yet to run across any.

Can't figure out which one to pick: this or https://www.amazon.com/eufy-Resol...07R3WY95C. Wired (in my link) gives you a 3-second pre-buffer and distortion correction. Wireless (this one) comes with home base and can use existing chime (when used as wired, which is what I want to do).

This one you can wired to your existing door chime, and also charge the internal battery..

One big difference between the wired and this one is the input voltage - this one supposedly will work with 8 - 24V while the wired one needs 16 - 24V

Why is this better than my $50 blink doorbell? Which can be wired or wireless, uses existing sync module as my blink cams, records to local storage free, has much longer battery life using 2 easily replacable aa without pita rechargable nonsense, etc?

This one supports wire or wireless. From what I learned, the battery provides power to the camera directly. The wire is used for charging the battery so that it will stay charged all the time.

Some older doorbell power supplies may not have enough power to run the wired only cam. Same issue with other brands as well and that is why some people need to replace their existing power supply in order to make the new doorbell cam work.

However, with this cam which is powered directly from the battery, I do not need to replace my power supply (which is under powered) simply because the camera has enough idle time for the battery to be charged again by my old doorbell power supply.

Got mine for 150 on Feb 2020. Have been using without any issue and I really like it as no subscription to watch all my footages. It captures well of all the human activities with clear image. The speed of notification is bit slower than Ring (I have flood cam for drive way) but still good enough. Very good price.
