You can use the price chart to see available dates. Looks like 1/6-1/11 is $103.30 one way, actually most of January and many others days. $99 are during 2/9-2/10. 2/14-2/16, 3/4-3/5.

PSA: Watch out for super crazy high rates on rental cars everywhere. Like 2x or 4x of normal rates.

In Maui right now. National emerald/executive aisle was only $600 including taxes for 8 days rental, booked a few days before departure. When we arrived, they had a ton of vehicles to choose from on the aisle, including ~15 4dr wranglers, which is what we picked. And this is Thanksgiving week. No car rental issues as far as I can tell.

Stayed last week at queen Kapiolani which is in Honolulu, the expensive island, for like 160/night. Pano views of Diamondhead from the room🤷 ♂️

Went to Kona twice and Honolulu once. Rental car was only $50/night for Kona, $70 for Honolulu. Wasn't terrible. This was during labor day and first week of October.

I was in Maui in July, people were renting uHaul (vans, trucks, boxes) to get around the island. Clever, and Definitely beats the $2300/10 days minivan deal I got (it was the cheapest)

PROTIP: Rent a Uhaul mover van, bring your camping sleeping pad and sleeping bag. Extra slick deal. Edit: The poster above me beat me to it Applause

Not seeing good prices even from PDX and Seattle. Any good website or method to figure out the best deals to areas from a location?

Be prepared for sticker shock when you look for a place to stay (in Kauai, at least).

Everything seems at least double in price for next year compared to this (and previous) years.

In Poipu, condos (basic, not ocean front) are going for $4000/wk and a typical small 2br house (not anywhere near the ocean) was $7000/wk. I don't know what they're thinking. Money grab?

I went to Oahu in early November for 1 week from LA. My flight was $200 through Southwest that was purchased about 3 weeks out which also includes 2 free check in bags. I just checked Hawaiian Airlines and it came out to around $200 and this is with the Black Friday sale.

Yes, Hawaii requires you to be vaccinated or negative RTPCR test
