Sounds great with RP - 280f's.
If you buy this bundle and don't need the 150 bookshelf's, sell them on eBay and the 450 will be free.

Then I purchased the RP 450-C Center Channel speaker and replaced the Samsung Center speaker with this one. What I found that I lost the audio for the Left channel (FL and RL) and only have the center channel speaker and the right channel working. I called Denon to see if they can help me troubleshoot this. But they mentioned the Receiver may have gone bad and its been 9 years I have had this so I was thinking of buying a new receiver. But before I do that I want to know what is the difference between Reference Center Speaker and a Regular Center Speaker.
There is a $25 off $250 going on for Adorama at this moment (I can see with my Delta Skymiles Blue card), which would make the 450c ($299+tax)-$25 for many.
Or, if you could find a filler item for around $5 in addition to the bookshelves (or if you are unlucky to be living in a place that the tax is more than 9.2%

If I am correct that is 33% more $$(is it on sale? not sure), so I stand behind the 450C. Obviously, the same sound will be different to two different individuals from 2 diff units. It's Subjective. Having said that, with the Quad 5" drivers on the 450C and Horn/tweet driver with the impressive 97DB just puts it on top at anything sub $300. Cleanest /natural dialogue I have heard from a center at this point. Am I biased towards Klipsch?? No, not really as most mains under the 8000 series can be just too bright for many people. You really have to go into the Forte IV and above level to really hear something special from klipsch. Yes, now were in 3X-5X price points so not fair to compare. Lots of good speakers out there but not many are good values on top. AS long as the person buying the unit thinks it sounds good then in the end no really right or wrong just personal preference and there $$$ to spend.
