It's a refurb. Multiple times the scooter has been $299 new.

These deals are not great at all.

Interested what people with experience with electric scooters think about these deals. I'm in the market for a scooter, $500 is probably my max budget.

I'm also looking at some other deals, mostly on Amazon or directly from the manufacturer. How do these deals compare?

$426
Hiboy MAX3 Electric Scooter, 350W Motor 10" Pneumatic Off Road Tires Up to 17 Miles & 18.6 MPH, Adult Electric Scooter for Commute and Travel https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08LH13...UTF8&psc=1

$375
Gotrax XR Elite Electric Scooter, 18.6 Miles Long-range Battery, Powerful 300W Motor Up to 15.5 MPH, 8.5" Pneumatic Tires, UL Certified Adults Electric Commuter Scooter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZJV8...JMST1RDH4A

$510
Limited-time deal: Hiboy S2 Pro Electric Scooter - 10" Solid Tires - 25 Miles Long-range & 19 Mph Folding Commuter Electric Scooter for Adults https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086N23...UTF8&psc=1

$400 (if you buy 2, which I am)
Turboant M10
https://turboant.com/collections/...gLrQ_D_BwE

Just looking at specs, the Turboant M10 seems like the best features for the price to me, but I'm no expert. The reputation and reliability of Xiaomi and Segway seem to be better than Gotrax, Hiboy or Turboant though.

The Turboant M10 for $400 has the following important features:
-20 mph top speed
-18 mile range
-10 inch inflatable tires
-30lbs

Seems like the M10 is the cheapest option with all of those listed features/specs. I don't necessarily require all those specs but they would be nice. Thoughts? Is it worth paying more for Segway or Xiaomi?

Does anyone here have any suggestions on where to take one of these scooters for service if any problems should arise?
A computer/electronics repair shop. Typically if they offer game console or drone repair they can fix these as well.

So ES3 vs ES4. I've been looking at the Ninebot for a while now and might pull the trigger. I only see peak power and regenerative braking as the main differences.

Is there something I'm missing that justifies a ~$200 differences between the 3 and 4?

Got the ES3 from this same deal that ran at the beginning of the month for commuting around a huge campus. Both super fun and practical. One of my favorite purchases in awhile. Renewed for mine meant it looked like it came out of the box and was ridden once and then returned. Almost perfect condition.

Don't have a comparison, but I bought the ES3 on the same deal and love it!

What do you scooter experts recommend for someone over the weight limit? All of the ones I've ever seen say 220lb limit but I'm 250 and sometimes hit 260. Does this matter or is there another brand of scooter that has a higher limit?

Buying any scooter from Walmart and getting the three year warranty is honestly the way to go. If it breaks between when you buy it and the end of the three years, they give you back your full purchase price, at least that's what happened when I bought the coveted ES4 deal last year.

This was absolute trash from Newegg a couple of years ago. Sent back multiple units to get one that actually worked and it died after about 2 months. Very short support/return window--total waste of money.

Nope. I bought a segway ninebot ES1 gen 2 refurb for 260 from woot (it arrived in new condition). I woulda bought a xiaomi, if they were still $300 new, despite the weaker motor

Some solid deals here - Scooter deals are few. It kills me what people are paying $500-$600 for (since I probably bought the same for $250 thanks to SD). M365 @ $315 is nice.

I've had at least 4 of this very model and had to return 3. The battery connection for the second battery is flawed and leads to all sorts of problems. You can't really use this scooter as a long range option. As soon as it uses the auxiliary battery much it gets hot and the connection is interrupted.

The one that I haven't returned beeps incessantly when charging, E21 or E42. Eventually it charges but I have to put a pillow over it to make the noise bearable.

Buy the max instead, much simpler and better designed.
