The HP model is the lowest tier of HP laptops (Spectre > Envy > Pavilion > "HP Laptop"). Most likely lower quality plastic build and other cut corners.

The Inspiron line is Dell's consumer line and comparable to everything under HP's Spectre. The Inspiron 7000 series is their highest end of Inspirons, and probably most comparable to HP's Envy line with more metal used in the chassis and some other premium features. (XPS ~ Spectre > Inspiron 7000 ~ Envy > Inspiron 5000 ~ Pavilion > Inspiron 3000 ~ "HP Laptop") I haven't researched this particular model, but that would be my guess based on their usual numbering system.

It's not really a fair comparison comparing a 2-in-1 Inspiron 7000 series with HP's bottom of the barrel "HP Laptop", even if a lot of specs are similar. There are definitely corners cut elsewhere.
Per description.."Privacy is paramount: Rest assured that your privacy is secure with the mechanical privacy camera shutter. Also, the single sign on (SSO) fingerprint reader on the power button provides a more personal, more secure instant access login experience."
This is also a touchscreen 2-n-1 and the HP is not.

Notebook check to ruin your dreals...I was going to go get that hp deal and deck it out but then I read about the build quality and like user said you have to cut price else where and certainly the 250 nit screen and build quality was a drag
You get what you pay for. Want bt 5.0 +20 dollars.

I've gotten the impression that nobody actually cares about a touchscreen at these sizes. Maybe I'm wrong about that.

There is no good use case... And the unit don't include a pen for drawing etc.

I got one of these touch screen laptop and it was cool at first and as time goes, I never touch the screen again.

Regardless the price here includes that spec and the HP doesn't.

I posted it to share for those that it could help. Right now this post has 8 thumbs up. At this point it was worth the 2 minutes it took to post. I post to share and help, no matter if it is a FP or Popular.

And I just provided my opinion and a different option that might be better for some people. C'est la vie.
And that is always welcomed. As is clarification between the two items, tough sell or not.

Looks like a good deal to me, I was looking for an envy around this price but this would be a good substitute. The one thing I'm not seeing is a fingerprint sensor, which is a dealbreaker for me unfortunately
