This seems like a decent deal, is the power supply standard and replaceable or hp proprietary?

Edit: Looks like mostly HP

Good deal. The base price on the customizable Pavilion deal went up by $50, so this is only $10 more than the same cpu/gpu combo on the configurator deal, but with twice the RAM and SSD plus an extra 1tb HDD. Like the others, doesn't stack with EPP. Anyone tried to combine EDU discount on this one?

EDIT: Another important point is this one also says 11/29 for ship date, where most of the custom configurations are late December or January.

Yeah, I didn't even see that one for $990 before. Kinda sad that deals seemed to get worse today than they have been for the past week. But this one is still a good deal even at this price, compared to the other popular deals going atm.

Unless you plan to replace that power supply ... would anyone be concerned about that 400W unit? Even the lower-end packaged PCs rarely have such anemic PSs.

Is this 3060 LHR?

These are og 3060s (work with 470.05 dev driver), single fan, 49mh/s @80fan, monitor required else it's ~half. Biggest complaint is the single fan

If you upgrade anything, you'll need a new PSU but if you use it in its stock form then you'll be fine. A 3060 only draws 170w MAX and the 5700G is 65w MAX.

Ugh, I ordered this Dell like a week ago:

https://deals.dell.com/en-us/productdetail/bmcn

Should I try and cancel and get this instead? The Dell has a slightly better processor and 1x16gb ram instead of 2x8gb, and a bigger psu. It's $279 bucks more though.

The question can you upgrade the PSU with any standard sized one? I've turned away from Dell b/c of their proprietary format.

Just ordered this up last night. Considering the price of a 3060 alone, this seemed like a good way to go.

The power supply is good for the system here you don't have to worry about it
