Hi. Help please. I currently dont have any of the lego mario sets.

The castle (71369) is an expansion set and i need a base set to play. I got that part.

Is it sufficient to buy just a 71380 and i'll be able to play, or do i still need to buy 71360?

Or am i completely misunderstanding how these sets work, esp 71360 vs 71380?

You will need either the Mario or Luigi starter sets. They are the only sets with the Mario and Luigi characters. Hope this helps!
