I have been using this for 6 months now and I have charged 4 times already, if you use the features like auto lock, it lasts like a a couple of weeks. So I disabled that and other advance features and now it lasts a month and change. That alone is not good enough reason to buy. The quality doesn't feel good while installing, I had a schlage before and it was great, battery laster like a year and it used 4 AA batteries. This one has its own battery that need that old mini USB cable to charge.
If the lock is exposed to rain then it keeps thinking someone is trying to unlock and it keeps saying wrong code and finishes battery in few hours.
I really wanted this to be good as I also have eufy cameras but it is not
That's an older model with the WiFi bridge
Completely different model. That model requires bridge. This one does not

I have this smart lock in silver. Bought from Amazon for $230 at the end of September. I installed it the 1st week of October. It currently shows 4 bars left of battery out of 5 bars. I have autolock feature on. I normally manually lock it coming home so it doesn't autolock that often. The only time it autolocks is when we go in and out of the house to do yardwork or the kids play. So far I haven't had much issues with it. The only snag is sometimes when I try to manually lock after it has been unlocked for a bit (before it hits the autolock time) it can get "stuck" not allowing you to lock manually. I've found if you turn it right slightly then turn it back to lock it works. I have it integrated with my Google Home so I can also tell Google to lock and it works. Installation is a breeze. Make sure you charge the battery fully before using it. I think people with battery issues might have weak wifi signal so it drains battery trying to connect/reconnect possibly. It also has physical keys to allow it to open. It comes with like 5 or 6 physical keys. They do not look like normal keys so not sure you can get copies made easily though. The whole point though is to not have a need for keys so I only have the physical keys on my car key chain. Everyone else can get a code or use the fingerprint. At $170 from costco this is a pretty sweet deal.

This is the best comment to put it in perspective. I got it last month and had no issues at all so I bit the combo deal and intend to return the newer lock I got this week and keep the video doorbell.

Can this lock withstand high heat? I have a full glass storm door facing south and it gets really hot between the doors. At this price I wouldn't want it melt or malfunction because of the heat.

I got one to try... the batteries running out and needing a charge would be a PITA. My current lock just has batteries.. which last several months.

What if thieves find out about this feature?
This. If your phone gets stolen and they find out where you live....over. I would want the auto unlock feature.

Be warned this company has terrible customer service. Tried contacting them via email and through fb messenger about a camera that won't connect to my homebase(less than a year old) and no response even after a month. I will never buy any of their products again.
Had a floodlight camera go bad with a year. Sent email and they responded after about 3 days. Made me send them a video of trying to reset the unit and after the reset didn't work, they sent a new replacement unit. Even though it took some time, they got it done.

I have this lock for a few months, not the biggest fan.

Three annoying thing's about this lock I would point out.

1) locking is annoying and a pain, u need to hold down either the fingerprint scanner or the cancel button, and that takes a few seconds, I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but when your in a rush it gets annoying.
2. When unlocking, u need to tap the screen a few times for it to wake up, the screen digits are not lit up all the time.
3. I personally prefer real buttons, just feels better then this type of touch screen, not a deal breaker but still something to consider.

All around, it's a pretty good and responsive lock, just a few points to consider.
You may have a different version. I have this lock and it instantly unlocks and locks, less than 1s. Also, I don't have to wake it up

I have the non-WiFi version and it's been great. The batteries came with the lock died within two months, which concerned me. However, the four new AA batteries lasted for over a year so far.
Did you test it with lithium batteries?

I have this model and you do have to tap the keypad for it to light up and take the keycode. Yes that is slightly annoying. When I lock it however I just hold down the cancel button and it locks it within 1-2 seconds. Not sure how inconvenient "instant" versus 1-2 seconds really is though.

i actually never use the keypad. fingerprint always work well for me. it does take like a sec or 2 but i actually don't mind it. i usually give the door a bit of a tug to confirm it is actually locked

I have 2 of these. Batteries last around 6 months.
Love the lock but Eufy needs to find a way that you can have more than 1 lock and need only 1 key.
Auto lock works but whether you have it set for 1 second or 3 minutes the auto lock will engage after 3 minutes even if the door is open. Since I already had a contact sensor on the door I disabled the auto lock in the eufy app and wrote an alexa routine to auto lock the door when the sensor closes. Now the door only locks if the door is actually shut. In the garage it also stops any music playing and turns off the lights.

I had the same issue and got a new battery under warranty (and sent the old one back). The new battery didn't have to get charged every 3-4 weeks.
