So will this stack on an existing Amazon subscription that expires in February 2022? I've heard people lost months converting from Amazon to Microsoft on the 15 month deals and wonder if this is the same

How does this work? Is there a way Amazon can access my MS data if I use this to manage 365 account?

If you are not already subscribed through Amazon, the subscription turns from Microsoft to Amazon and it will show up under membership and subscription info on your Amazon account. Nothing else changes on how you use this subscription.

I guess I'm just wondering if there are any privacy implications for having Amazon manage the MS accounts. I don't currently have 365 account other than one from work.

hmm..if I recall.. the first year it worked.. the second year it tried to renew my MS account that they swapped out when I took the $50 bait so I had to wait for the one subscription to expire before they could get the "New" one to work..then last year I don't remember what deal I tried but I was fortunate to renew at regular rate in the end and was happy about that because the $50 wasn't worth all the time I was spending with support that had no clue of anything technical..nor that they have a "hotline" to Microsoft for any problems with the multiple accounts created by Amazon

Where do you check the subscription expiration date? When I login to Amazon it does not display the date, and when I login to Microsoft and click manage it sends me back to Amazon.

Under Amazon accounts -> Memberships & Subscriptions

or
https://account.microsoft.com/ -> Manage Office 365 subscription

I had my subscription on Amazon expiring sep 2022. After I bought this, it showed up as a separate subscription on the Amazon. Does it take some time for the new and existing subscription to be combined?

It seems the Amazon gift card will have to be physically delivered too. Didn't seem there is email delivery option for this.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank Hogan773

For anyone considering this just know that it may limit your future flex on where you can buy renewal codes. Amazon will manage your subscription on behalf of Microsoft. I personally prefer to have the sub managed directly by Microsoft so I can use any code sources I find. others may not care. just fyi

I already had a subscription for this managed by amazon. I ordered this thinking it would extend my subscription. It didn't. It added a new subscription under my account with overlapping dates. So I saw I can cancel it, and did. Now it says my subscription was canceled and I will not be refunded. Uhhh did I just make a $100 donation to Amazon? What did I do wrong?

I am seeing the same thing. I think when I did this in the past years, the system will take some time to show the combined subscriptions. I am hoping that's still the case.

Update: I just checked again and seems my subscriptions have been combined and showing the new combined renewal date.

This has happened to myself and at least some others here. Give it a few hours or day again.

Also, hopefully you didn't have a personal MS365 prior and now family...

Amazon agent just refunded the $50, thankfully. Hopefully we'll get a better explanation from the community on how this works.
