I have both in diff bathrooms. Both are great products. No complains. All pros/cons are quite subjective. Size wise - identical. Aesthetics - Toto C5 is one color so I like it better, compared to silver painted parts of BB. BB has lights. Toto has limited supply of warm water, though it wont be like its gonna get cold on you, just a bit colder after 30 sec of use. BB has unlimited warm water. I like Toto remote better, simpler. BB has big screen which shows info that could be just illuminated buttons or simple on/off lights. BB has a possibility to produce a stronger stream, though at max IMO its a bit too much. Toto has better drying - air comes out warmer and actually helps drying. Both filter air and remove the odors quite well.

Finding an electrician for such a small task is a challenge unless you pay more. If you pair up with other jobs needed in home, this can be done for 60 to 80$.

I would go purpose built. Not that there's anything wrong with these but I would also look into how easy the purpose built ones are to service because it's easy to take a toilet seat off and replace or sent it in for warranty but I don't know how a whole toilet would work.

I'm researching too. I do generally trust the wirecutters review. Looks like they chose the Toto C5 over the Bio Bidet Bliss BB-2000 at because it was $300 dollars more at the time of the review and they didn't recommend the price difference with the additional features.
