Have had this for over a year. It kind of upsets me when I have to poop anywhere else now.
That's the only thing holding me back most often the need occurs when I am at work.

Picked up the $199 BioBidet from Costco and have been very satisfied. This seems to have more functions than I would ever use and don't know if it is worth 2x the Costco deal. Compare the 2 if you are new to bidets but they are great.

As a senior, I love to use this thing as it is much cleaner for me plus I don't have to wipe much as it's hard for my hand. It is a godsend during Covid-19 and no toilet paper available.

Finding an electrician for such a small task is a challenge unless you pay more. If you pair up with other jobs needed in home, this can be done for 60 to 80$.
It costs WAY more than $80 to have an outlet installed. Between $250-$500

I'm researching too. I do generally trust the wirecutters review. Looks like they chose the Toto C5 over the Bio Bidet Bliss BB-2000 at because it was $300 dollars more at the time of the review and they didn't recommend the price difference with the additional features.

https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutte...shlet/amp/

You can see the review under "The Competition"

"We liked the Bio Bidet Bliss BB-2000, but its high price buys you many features you don't need. This leads to a remote that's overcrowded with buttons: In addition to pressure and temperature settings, it offers a massage function, an enema function, an auto wash, a kids' wash, something called a bubble infusion, and a wide spray. Overall this model doesn't have enough worthwhile extras to be worth about $300 more than our top pick."

Seems like they are both solid chooses. Do I want more features or the one with the bigger brand name? Smilie
I ended up going for TOTO C5 because it is available for ~ $350 plus tax at wayfair after a 10% off coupon and TOTO is believed to be a better brand. My CC covers extra warranty just in case.

Anyone know if this seat is hard enough to sit on?
No it's not. Says in the manual not to sit on it.

Installing an outlet is not rocket science. It took me less than a day to read up on the code, tap into the GFCI circuit feeding the bathroom outlets and run romex down the wall to behind the toilet. Patching up the drywall was literally the hardest part of the operation.

I got the costco bidet. I could say that costco one has most of the features except warm water.
The Costco one has warm water. It is configurable between 97 and 102. Use it every day at 97 degrees.

It has a small tank so it runs out after about 60 seconds . This bb2000 has an instant heater so has endless hot water.

I think it all depends on existing wiring. My neighbors paid $80 for theirs pre-covid.

I remember that well because I paid $80 per additional outlet when I built my home in 2015.

How does this compare to the Toto C5 on sale for $387?
I have both in diff bathrooms. Both are great products. No complains. All pros/cons are quite subjective. Size wise - identical. Aesthetics - Toto C5 is one color so I like it better, compared to silver painted parts of BB. BB has lights. Toto has limited supply of warm water, though it wont be like its gonna get cold on you, just a bit colder after 30 sec of use. BB has unlimited warm water. I like Toto remote better, simpler. BB has big screen which shows info that could be just illuminated buttons or simple on/off lights. BB has a possibility to produce a stronger stream, though at max IMO its a bit too much. Toto has better drying - air comes out warmer and actually helps drying. Both filter air and remove the odors quite well.

I have this model plus various other similar-priced units from Brondell and Toto installed throughout my house. I also have a Euro-style Kohler bidet fixture.

The best, by a country mile and then some, is the Kohler fixture. It has everything (super-pressure, both hot and cold water taps) and looks the nicest.

After that would be the Bio-Bidet 2000. It has the best pressure for an electric add-on washlet with its enema-mode with a regular cleaning mode with side-to-side action to finish. If you really need to clean stuff out, this is the one to get. Functionally, it's great. The worst part of this is that dumb remote which has 20 more buttons than necessary which would be confusing for guests.

The Toto looks the most refined of the add-ons while the Brondell is simple and workman-like but effective. Both, like the Bio-Bidet have continuous (unlimited) water-heating. They come in a close tied second (simpler, more intuitive remote) to the Bio-Bidet for add-on washlets. It's the pressure of the BB's enema-mode that puts it over the top.

Exactly. Depends on your wiring situation. If you have an outlet on the other side of the wall - it's just cutting sheetrock and putting in the box. If you need to bring the wire from afar it will be more expensive. I just did bigger remodeling and paid $150 flat fee for installation of a new outlet (just work, wire, boxes, outlets, covers were purchased and billed separately).

The company says to use a 15 amp DEDICATED outlet (Amazon question). The outlet on the other side of my wall (to tap in) is on a circuit that controls mostly LED lights. I do use the outlet and the other outlets on that circuit for a vacuum cleaner. Is the tap still OK? Or dedicated?
