Good price for a complete desktop that will do 90% of what 90% of people use their computers for. Especially with cashback
Other popular cashback site R_ku10 has 15% cash back at Dell today.
There are also YMMV deals on 5% back on Chase cards and some Amex offers too. My Amex offer is for $600 minimum so that won't work ehre unless you need 2x systems
With cashback and chase 5% you might get this down to $264 net.

I'd strongly recommend adding a NVMe stick for primary boot drive and reinstalling the OS. That mechanical HDD is a system bottleneck. SSd/NVMe are multiples faster than HDDs for loads and storage use.

I think the staples deal has been over for a while but I could be wrong.

You can add memory and SSDs to the system. But its not built to add a better graphics card.

It should have 2 DIMM slots and it ships with 1x 8GB stick so you can add more memory in the empty slot.
Thre are multiple M2 and SSD/HDD slots open in the chassis.
The power supply is limited 260W unit that isn't going to support most addin video cards.
Also if anyones talking of upgrading its notable to know that Dell desktops use proprietary motherboard and I think PSUs so its not practical to swap out those parts or change the chassis.

If we wanted to add in any SSDs or HDDs, I know I'd need to plug a SATA cable from the drive to the motherboard. But would the power supply also have any free power connectors to power the drive(s)?

Should be power cables to power drives yes.

I dont' ahve one in front of me to look at but based on Dells online service manuals and recent youtube videos both show cables. Dell advertises the system as having upgrade drive bays for drives and that wouldn't be something they could would/claim if the systeem PSU didn't support more drives.

Also the NVMe drives that plug into M2 sockets don't require power cables they're powered off the motherboard

Is there a way to use the 10% welcome email coupon with this offer? I tried, but it did not apply.

Or the free SATA SSD from Microcenter
