im so back and forth that i decided to go ahead and pull the trigger because any longer and i think i've waited too long if the m1x or the m2 doesn't show up next round for macmini. tomorrow i will use the apple $100 gc offer using the apple-gcs that i've collected because i think the new macmini in 2022 might be so expensive it might make sense to get a mbp instead.

I think you're right though about the new Mini. It's definitely going to be much more expensive than the current one and both will be sold. one will be a higher model with the new m1x

I'm hoping the 16 GB and 512 GB ssd M1 mini goes back down to $949 tomorrow for Cyber Monday at B&H. Missed it on BF and didn't order in time before they closed ordering system early. This is a great deal also and I may have to jump on in case they don't lower the 512GB tomorrow.

If you don't really "NEED" a new Mac at the moment, Even with much I love about the M1 chip Macs, but I would recommended wait untill the M1 Pro/Max version of Mac mini.

That was a good deal but now on "Cyber Monday" it's already $100 more than that.
