I will likely add this to my cart next time i'm at HD. I've looked at it twice and kept putting it back but this is a good set to have on hand.

Anyone actually use these with a 1/2" socket that needed a lot of torque? i just have a hard time thinking that even treated steel is going to be strong enough to do any good when the shank at its thinnest is like 1/8" across. I feel like the 1/2" adapter is just a token sacrifice to the tool gods

As far as impact socket adapters go, these are among the strongest. I think only Makita gold outperformed them in strength test, and just barely. Project Farm did a roundup but Husky wasn't represented. Another tool channel did a roundup that included these, Makita, Milwaukee and all the Harbor freight and a few other offerings and these hit way above what their price point would suggest.

I was thinking the same, but considering if it is used on an impact driver and not a wrench, the force that a driver can manage should be well under what the bit can manage..... We'll see, I have one ordered and ready to pick up myself.

Damn, just bought the 2.5" set yesterday for $8.67. Worked great for drill-starting a motor.

Tool noob here. Are these larger adapters actually useful? I feel like if you're trying to turn something that requires a 1/2" driver you're going to need some more torque than what you're driver can put out.

For me there are cases where it's useful even if it's not carrying max torque. Maybe you seat a bolt with a drill/driver and then torque it using a torque wrench - this lets you move the socket from one tool to the other.

I use these on my Milwaukee impact driver for tire rotations and it's never struggled.

Just out of curiosity, why would you need the 6" ones rather than just using the 2.5" ones and a socket extension that you likely have with your socket set?
