Is this the same one that everyone got for $150 a couple weeks back?
That was gen 10 and only available in 1 store for $150, but $210 everywhere else. For $40 more and available at all locations this is a good deal for the lga 1200 swan song i7.
Any boards less than 225+ worth buying? Checking z690 the price difference in the board increases the overall build cost by quiet a bit.
You are already saving on the CPU so its offsetting the overall cost. Additionally whenever you buy a new Gen you will be paying premium. If you want 12th gen CPU you can always chose to buy a DDR4 board and save money on motherboard and RAM. Again all of these are my opinion, not trying to lead you a certain way. If i was going to stay on an older gen I would rather buy a 10th gen intel or AMD than go with 11th gen intel. Also I cannot make a suggestion on a motherboard not knowing what you would use it for, if you would overclock, etc.
