Amazon mixes their inventory with other sellers, which may leave you with a fake. With Apple products, I stay away from Amazon and buy from Best Buy or Apple directly. Verizon was also a safe bet since I'm sure they didn't buy they're inventory from Amazon. Just my opinion though.

I just got one a few days ago for $32. Looks legit to me. Really nice and thin, I'd gladly pay a few more $ for it. Not like I buy these everyday.
I just purchased this yesterday for $32 and went to chat with Amazon CS for a partial refund of the price change, and they turned me down and said that they don't do that anymore (I haven't asked for a price change refund for a long time so this was news for me) instead they told me I can return the previous order (which I haven't received yet) and place a new order.
What a policy is that? If I were to return and place a new order they are losing even more delivery fees and waste of time and energy for everyone. SMH.
I'm not going to return for $2 but must say they should have a better solution for this kind of cases.
Don't forget to get the Power Plug Adapter, that is also on sale.
So it comes out to more than $50 for a charger for your newer iPhone.
Seems high for a charger, but all the knock-offs I've tried overheat my phone and degrade the battery quickly. I've turned into an Apple fan.

They are banking on you not going through the extra trouble of returning. It's a stupid policy.

That's true if one doesn't pay attention to who the seller is. If it an item is sold and ships from Amazon, I guarantee you'll get the real thing. I make it a point to do this and only buy from other marketplace sellers if it's unique and something amazon never sold.

No he's right. Imagine 3 sellers selling the same exact product. What Amazon basically does is put all products from the three sellers into a box. When someone buys from seller A, they just pick up one item and ship it to you. However you may have been shipped seller B's product that was fake or made from shoddy components.
Never trust crest or Gillette products from Amazon either.

This is indeed why they have this policy. I am 100% certain they have numbers to back up how many people either don't return it or opt to buy and return and forget completely or decide to keep both. They know the cost from the few that actually follow through is overshadowed by the many who don't.

You have to use at least some points for payment, but points redeem at $1/125pts, so I just redeemed $0.01 worth of points.
