I would get the V1200 because it has the smart features which are more than likely going to be necessary for all the current and upcoming accessories for the blenders. You won't be able to use the smart scale (most useful thing ever) the food processor, etc.

Although refurbished, I like the V1200 deal from Vitamix for $280. Bought that.

I'll answer myself. The first/most helpful review on the linked Experian model does a rundown of these similar models. Bases/motors seem to be the same. The one major difference is the Pulse switch in the E320 vs the High Speed switch needed to reach full speed on 5200.

I probably use mine the most for this and it makes a nice smooth smoothie. It pulverizes anything and is easy to clean. I usually have 2 types of frozen fruit bags from Costco and throw that in with liquid of choice. Does veggies too if you like to add stuff like that.

Depends on your smoothies, but most likely overkill. Will it make amazing smoothie, yes, but a lot of sub $100 will also do the same. If you're looking to make nut butters, sorbets, grinding flours and expanding culinary tools, this is great.
But again, plenty of people with the money will buy this for just smoothies.

For those who are having difficulty deciding, more power doesnt really mean better outcome. If you are just looking to prepare smoothies & blends. See this side by side in depth comparison between E310/E320 & 5300 and you can make the choice. Hope that helps in deciding the direction of pulling the trigger. https://www.rtings.com/blender/to...shold=0.10
Really good deal for the 5200 at $279. This matches the June's frontpage deal. Last time it was cheaper was in 2019 at $260, so I wouldn't bank on that happening again.
The 5200 is one of America's Test Kitchen most recommended for high-end blenders.
same smoothie.
VERY different texture
not to mention ability to crush, blend, mix, etc...
not even close.

It looks like there's a 3 year warranty for this. One of the Vitamix refurb deals from Costco comes with a 5 year warranty so I'm not sure why this is less
I got one at a slightly lower price, and just love it. I prefer the tall 64 oz over the short wide ones. Easy to use, clean.
