Just an FYI - this thing is incredibly loud. Read the reviews; some people wear earplugs. If I use it on the low setting, it's tolerable.

I don't know why this thing is so popular. It's loud and there is no warm setting… so it either takes hours to dry your hair or it's so hot it melts it.

We bought this for $35 couple of days back. Amazon if not ready to refund the difference. They are asking to return and repurchase. Is that usual or there is a way to get price adjusted?

I have used this for 6 months. I first use the hair dryer to dry my hair about 90%. Then it takes me just a couple of minutes to style my hair with this. Much faster than the iron, it takes big locks of hair at a time. It gets very hot even on the low setting so make sure you use a thermal protection product. I'm scared of damaging my hair so I don't use it every week

This thing started smoking bad when my wife and I were in a hotel a month or two ago (after about one year of use). Caused two floors to be evacuated due to triggering the fire alarm.

This makes a great "beard straightener brush."

I've had a "12" and up competition quality beard" for close to a decade now. I still have a blow dryer for post shower and product application use. On 1/2 the days or more when I just wake up and need to get it straightened, and not looking like it was styled with a fork and a 240v outlet, this thing works wonders quickly.
Yes it's loud but not as loud as the hairdryer I use.
