Wow, this is a great price if you're looking for a cheaper entry into Peloton. I did all the research last year and put together what you need to do after buying this bike. Reposting it here:
Required items you'll need:
Echelon bike[walmart.com] Peloton app[onepeloton.com]
Peloton subscription (Note, if you have a friend who has a bike subscription you can ask if they'll create an account for you instead to save some money)
Two streaming devices
One to connect to the Echelon app[echelonfit.com] to display your statistics, usually a phone
One to connect to the Peloton app to display the classes, usually a tablet
Optional add-ons to improve the experience
Wahoo cadence sensor[amazon.com] - iOS support only - this attaches to your bike's gearshaft and can be connected to the Peloton app to integrate your cadence. You'll already be getting cadence information from the Echelon app on your phone, but if you want it to display in the Peloton app, you'll need this too.
Polar Verity heart rate sensor[amazon.com] - this wraps around your arm and can provide heart rate data to the Peloton app. Instructors will mention heart rate zones to target in advanced classes, so if you want to be able to follow along you'll need this, but it's not required. You will also get more accurate calorie burn counts with your heart rate being measured.
Note: If you are an iOS user and have an Apple Watch, you have a couple options instead of buying a sensor.
Use Peloton app on your iPhone. If you use your iPhone for displaying the class, it will have direct access to your heart rate from your Apple Watch.
Download HeartCast[apple.com] which allows your Apple Watch to broadcast heart rate over bluetooth. You can pair this with your iPad/Android tablet.
Bicycle mat[amazon.com] - The official Echelon mat is 27"x47", so this should fit underneath it to catch your sweat and protect your carpet/hardwood floor. 1-3lb dumbbells[amazon.com] - In some classes, the instructor will tell you to do some lifts, so you'll need a set of light weights Peloton to Echelon resistance chart[etsy.com] - The instructor will call out numbers to change your bicycle resistance during the class, but the Echelon uses a different scale so you can print this out or buy one to have as a handy reference. Gel bicycle seat cover[amazon.com] - If you are gonna be spinning for a long time, the gel will help ease any pain you have in your backside
To get the baseline experience done, you'll need to setup your Echelon bike as described in the manual. After physical setup is complete, download the Echelon app to your phone, and then plug in your bike and start the pairing process.
Next, if you bought either of the optional sensors you'll need to pair them with their various ipad/android tablet apps to update their firmware.
Once paired, to get your Echelon app into freestyle mode to display your statistics, go to the bottom right of the app, select "More", then "Freestyle Ride".
Finally, you will then be able to load the Peloton app on your tablet, select a class, and start going.
At least with the Sport here, someone has written a third party app to handle resistance and stat calculation, so if you hate Echelon's app, there is an alternative:
Sam's Club has the ECH-SPORT-S model for $699 (not on sale), which seems to be the same bike but with a 10" touchscreen added. I'll use my cheapo tablet and save the $350.
I have the more expensive Echelon EX5-s. It's a great bike. Mine was more expensive because it came with a 21" touch screen. However, if you have a tablet, it will work just great. Absolutely no regrets with my purchase. The live classes are great, but so too are the recorded classes.
I wish this would have been earlier, I may have taken this instead of the Target deal with the gift card bringing the Bowflex c7 down to $650 (899, included a $250 gift card)

Got this for $500 last year. Using the peloton app with it and it's still going strong!
I have an iPad and a Peloton membership already which I can just use I guess. If I use the Peloton app and use live workouts/pre-recorded, does it still show my output/resistance/etc on the bike?
That's my main complaint bringing my phone to the 24 hour fitness gym. Those bikes don't really show my resistance and what not so when I'm trying to follow along with the instructors, I'm having a difficult time matching resistance.

That's the downside with this bike integrating with peloton. It doesn't show your output/resistance on the PELOTON app, only at the ECHELON app.
What I do is install peloton on my smart TV (or use my tablet) and use another phone for the echelon for the output/resistance from my bike.
